'Harper's Bazaar', with its edition on the pregnant and naked Britney Spears, is going to Japan, but the massive campaign that was already been set up for it came to a dead end when officials from the Tokyo Metro Co. refused to display a huge poster of the artist. The poster was meant to be put up in the subway of the trendiest part of the city but, after considering the matter thoroughly, the officials decided to go against it. Basically, it was an enlarged image of the one that also appears on the magazine cover and shows the pregnant star naked, but covering her intimate parts by sitting with her arms over her breasts and with her legs crossed at the knee. The ad got banned from the subway after most of the representatives from the metro company said that many of the viewers might feel insulted by it or, in the other extreme, too stimulated. Nevertheless, it was deemed inappropriate and drastic changes were made to the original picture. The ad will show Britney, but only from the elbow down, and it will come accompanied by a caption that will read: 'We apologize for covering part of the image of a beautiful mother-to-be. In this place, we can't show the same image (as the magazine), so we made the change'. This photo of Britney was only one out of six which were supposed to be displayed in the subway as part of a campaign celebrating the sixth anniversary of the Japanese edition of 'Harper's Bazaar'. After the officials considered this one as a threat to the nation's youth, it is yet unsure what will exactly happen to the remaining five.
