Nadya Suleman, dubbed OctoMom by the media, is again at the center of a controversy: her neighbors in La Habra, California, are complaining to the media about the terrible noise that her 14 children are making at all hours of the day – and night.

People in the cul-de-sac where Suleman bought her 4-bedroom house at the beginning of 2009 have never been happy about having her there – but it’s just now that they’re talking to the media about it.

TMZ spoke to several of them, and all they all tell basically the same story: living next to Suleman is “hell” because she really doesn’t care whether the noise coming from her house bothers anyone else.

One woman in particular says for the paparazzi agency that Suleman herself is always screaming at her children, calling them names and disciplining them in ways other mothers wouldn’t even consider.

She also allows them out at night to play: the older ones jump on the trampoline in the back yard, says the woman, while she’s probably inside with the octuplets.

“We continuously hear kids screaming and crying and fighting,” the woman says.

“Another neighbor told us they’re constantly being woken up at 6AM by the sounds of screaming children... when Octo lets the kids go outside to ‘play’ with no regard for the noise,” TMZ writes.

Because of the media attention Suleman is still getting and the incredibly high levels of noise, police officers are always in the area, which, again, is a nuisance for the neighbors.

“As for the cops, we’re told the constant police presence is becoming a nuisance. In fact, neighborhood locals – even children – are often subjected to ID checks simply to gain access to streets around Octo’s home,” says TMZ.

And that’s not the worst about living next to OctoMom: the neighbors are also furious with her because her presence in the community is lowering prices.

“Neighbors have been informed by real estate agents that living near Octo could lower the value of their homes because they would have to disclose the fact that she lives close by,” TMZ writes.
