Nadya Suleman won’t be getting her own reality show in the US just yet, but, for all those looking to see what she’s like in front of the camera, suffice it to say her appearance on The View the other day should be more than enough. Laughing “maniacally” and seemingly very hyped, OctoMom tried to advocate her case, explaining how she got the money for IVF, her plans for the future and even how she manages to cope with having to raise 14 kids, as the video below will show.

At one point, the ladies on The View point out to Suleman that she has a very weird, rather “maniacal” laugh. This she explains by saying it only gets worse when she’s stressed, but it’s not something that she can control, even if there are times when she literally scares people with it. She then moves on to say how she has the money to afford raising so many children and how she got it to undertake IVF treatment, which is not covered by the insurance.

“That’s an extremely good question,” she says, when asked how she can afford 14 kids and three nannies when she doesn’t even have a job. “From the very beginning I am very naturally shy. And I never wanted anything to do with cameras or the industry. ‘That industry’ I used to call it. Ever. I always wanted to be a doctor. So in my mind, being in denial, I thought I could exit the hospital, continue my daily routine, go back and forth to the hospital. Go back to school. And of course, you know, I like to always believe life happens to you when you make other plans,” Suleman says.

When asked which are her plans to provide for her children’s future, Suleman is equally vague, though convinced there is no way this can go wrong. “Every hour, every single hour of the day I contemplate how I’m going to do this to be able to support them. It’s a double edged sword, it’s a catch 22. If I go back to school… I have one more year left for my masters… I couldn’t possibly earn enough money to take care of them for a couple [of] months. So the only other option is to delve into other opportunities. Secure selective opportunities such as the past, was being in the midst of survival mode, doing interviews, which I didn’t want to do…” she says.

Because Suleman was so hyped during the interview, talking over the other women and rushing to answer questions almost before they were asked, Barbara Walters asks her if she’s “on something,” while Whoopi can’t help but wonder if she’s “all there” sometime later in the interview.
