Nadya Suleman has just become the latest (and most unlikely) celebrity spokesperson for PETA, having just unveiled a large billboard on her property urging pet owners to fight breedism by having their pets spayed and neutered. Suleman’s message was, as the Los Angeles Times can confirm, as to the point as it was somewhat ironic: just say no to octocats and octodogs.

Sulaman unveiled the new ad while rocking a red edition of the shirt reading “Fight breedism.” Though she was telling Oprah just recently that she could not stand media attention, the mother of octuplets and a total of no less than 14 children, seemed perfectly comfortable in front of the zapping cameras and the crowd of agitated reporters, who kept screaming at her indications on which side to turn and how wide to smile.

“Nadya Suleman, the 34-year-old mother of 14 whose delivery of eight babies conceived through in vitro fertilization last year earned her the nickname Octomom, has made good on her promise to People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals by unveiling a sign promoting animal birth control in her front yard. Facing financial difficulties that could have meant eviction from her La Habra home, Suleman agreed in March to place the sign advocating spay and neuter surgeries for dogs and cats in her yard. Around the same time, she declined an offer from an adult-film production company to appear in a porn movie,” the LA Times says.

“The sign, which measures 3 feet by 4 feet, reads, ‘Don’t let your dog or cat become an “octomom.” Always spay or neuter. PETA.’ Alongside the text is an image of a cat nursing a litter of young kittens. In exchange for the advertising placement, Suleman will receive a $5,000 payment from PETA and a month’s supply of vegan hot dogs and Boca burgers. Suleman has said that she typically spends $1,000 each month on groceries. ‘I love animals and I do believe they should be spayed or neutered,’ Suleman said at the unveiling ceremony Wednesday morning, at which she appeared wearing an animal rights-themed T-shirt,” the same media outlet further informs.

Then, on a second thought, Suleman added that humans were, “of course,” much different. TMZ has video of the media storm that went down at Nadya Suleman’s doorstep with the unveiling of the new PETA ad.
