Though she doesn’t have any new project to promote and it should have been clear to her by now that there is very little she can do to fix her image in the media, Nadya Suleman continues to make the television rounds. Just recently, she taped an appearance on Oprah, which should air next week, says Star magazine (story via here).

Suleman was last seen on TV on The View, when she spoke in detail about becoming pregnant with octuplets and how she hadn’t planned it – and would not consider having more babies ever again. Also then, she unleashed what the media labeled a “maniacal” laugh, of which she said she could not control despite the fact that she was fully aware it took people by surprise, and even scared some who did not know her all that well. It’s not known what she might have talked with Oprah.

“Octomom Nadya Suleman is going one-on-one with Oprah Winfrey. The mother of 14 has taped an interview to air on The Oprah Winfrey Show on April 20. According to her lawyer, a film crew came to Nadya’s La Habra, Calif., home last week to see how the supersized family is doing. Nadya then filmed a private interview via satellite from Los Angeles. The single mom is also making an appearance in a skit for American Idol’s Idol Gives Back charity show on April 21,” Star writes.

For a woman who, not long ago, was saying that she didn’t want to be in the spotlight, Mrs. Suleman is certainly going that extra mile to keep her name in the headlines – and what better way to do so than by putting an appearance on Oprah, one of the most watched shows ever in the history of showbiz. Last time Nadya did a televised interview, she said she was naturally “shy” and would like to have other alternatives to provide for her 14 children than by doing interviews, as we also reported back then.

“From the very beginning I am very naturally shy. And I never wanted anything to do with cameras or the industry. ‘That industry’ I used to call it. Ever. I always wanted to be a doctor. So in my mind, being in denial, I thought I could exit the hospital, continue my daily routine, go back and forth to the hospital. Go back to school. And of course, you know, I like to always believe life happens to you when you make other plans,” Suleman told the ladies on The View.
