Nadya Suleman says she’s not against having more children, but only after getting married

OctoMom Nadya Suleman recently told the media that giving birth to octuplets in January this year was, while a joyous moment, also the instant she realized she had made a mistake by deliberately choosing to have so many babies. Yet, that doesn’t mean she’s not open to the idea of having even more children – she has 14 to date – the only thing that she would change being that she’d like to be married.

Speaking on Good Morning America via Radar Online, Suleman, who not long ago lived with her parents and her six children (before the octuplets were born), on government assistance and had no job, revealed that she would never say no to expanding her brood. The only thing is, she says, that she wouldn’t choose to be a single parent again, perhaps having realized by now that raising 14 children – no matter how large the army of nannies constantly on watch is – is never a good idea.

“If I wanted to do it the traditional way and get married. That’s like another chapter,” Suleman says of the only circumstance in which she would consider getting pregnant again, as the aforementioned media outlet confirms. For those who have been keeping an eye on her story ever since her name first grabbed international headlines, Suleman’s announcement that she might consider adding to her already too large family can be seen as a 180-degree turn, since she repeatedly said in past interviews that this was it, she would not have more babies.

There are other things that mark her life these days, though. “Suleman, looking slim, said she’s reliant on projects with various media outlets to support her large family, though she ‘tries to limit it.’ ‘I’m damned if I do and damned if I don’t,’ she said, adding that her monthly help expenses – which include four people assisting her on a daily basis – add up to more than $10,000. […] According to Suleman, she said she doesn’t regret having all of her children, contradicting previous statements she made right here on Radar Online. When asked if she had contemplated putting any of the children up for adoption, Suleman said ‘that’s not appropriate for me’,” Radar further writes of the same interview.

As we also reported on numerous occasions, Suleman has come under serious fire for giving birth to octuplets through IVF, when she clearly barely had the means to provide for the six children under 8 she already had at home. Her financial situation has changed in the meantime, though, having signed several lucrative deals with certain media outlets, including the aforementioned Radar.
