After becoming the undisputed champion of clay this season, Rafael Nadal wants more from tennis. Not only has he improved his play on grass, but he also wants to put pressure on his opponents on hard courts. After all, you can't really challenge Roger Federer only on clay, since the Swiss player won all other Grand Slam titles at least 2 times. "My special goal is next year in Australia. So I want to improve. I have four months and I am going to try my best. I am going to try improving every day, working hard every day. If you have better service, it all changes. I need to play more aggressive with the return. I am trying, but I need to improve that. I need to improve a little bit more my volley. I always improve, but I need to improve more", said Nadal. The 20-year old Spaniard admitted that improving his game on other surfaces than clay is the only way he could become world's number one. As compared to his first year inside the ATP, Nadal played 2 Grand Slam finals and reached the quarterfinals at Flushing Meadows. "I can't say I am not happy with my year. I play final in French Open; I play final in Wimbledon, the quarters in New York. But I need to be ambitious, no? I want to play good in every tournament, and I want to play the final in every tournament. I know that's impossible, but I am going to try. I need improve for try that", added world's no 2. Nadal will try to challenge his rival & friend Roger Federer for the Australian title at the beginning of January, next year. Nadal failed to participate in the Melbourne tournament this year due to a leg injury.
