In the world of gaming and enthusiast-grade PCs, case fans are sometimes more than a commodity, since some systems actually have a high heat generation, so NZXT figured it would make some spinners, not holding back on aesthetics either.

NZXT is one of those companies best known for its computer cases, having unveiled quite a number of them over the years.

At some point in the past, there was no such thing as variety or any real sort of concern with aesthetics, what with PCs being just a bunch of hardware parts in a plastic or other sort of 'box.'

Once the consumer market kicked off, however, companies eventually began to specialize, so some chose enclosures as their field.

Since then, concern for aesthetics has risen, and NZXT seems to have taken this into account when it revealed its new products.

The outfit did no make a new case this once, but did prepare some fans that should add some color and cooling to any enclosure. Next month is when sales should start, for $17.99.

They are the FS-200 Fans, new additions to the FS Silent Fan Series and equipped with switches that lets one turn the built-in LEDs on or off.

Speaking of LEDs, three fans were actually provided, with red, green and blue colors, respectively.

Designed with sleeved cables, they have a diameter of 200mm and 11 blades each, plus a rotary speed of 700 RM (rotations per minute), give or take 200 RPM. They have a rifle bearing.

A splitter is bundled with the FS-200, allowing users to control the LEDs of two fans at once. Finally, their sound output is of 20.16 dBA and the the airflow of as high as 89.5 CFM.

“Effective airflow is paramount for any performance rig” said Johnny Hou, Founder and Chief Designer at NZXT.

“With FS-200, we now have a 200mm solution that promotes maximum cooling, silence, and personalization for NZXT cases.”
