After making a hit with her subway matchmaking service, Erika Christensen is looking to expand her team of Cupids, to bring more love to New York's underground train passengers. In order to find the perfect “love nerd,” Erika the Love Conductor posted a hiring advert on Craigslist.

Train Spottings, or best known as NYC's subway matchmaking, was designed to help a part of the usual 5 million subway passengers find their perfect match. Everything started when Erika noticed the lonely people from the train, too shy, or too afraid to approach others. The 31-year-old woman decided to help them by taking the character of the Love Conductor and starting a profitable business.

People are always willing to invest in love, so why not take a chance, and in collaboration with another dating site, Erika started matching, date planning, and coaching New York's lonely subway passengers. Her idea of finding love underground seemed to work, at least for a lucky few, and now the love-spreading team is looking to grow even more.

The Craigslist ad seeking “subway cupids” states that the newbies will help spread the word by handing out cards to potential singles on the train. Since the Train Spottings team is “sincere, busy and appreciative of hard work,” the soon-to-be Cupid must be “magnetic, brave, disciplined and kind of a love nerd,” according to the advert.

The cupid-like work is not for free, the part-time job involves compensation as well, mostly based on commission and the amount of business cards shared on the subway. If you feel like spreading love around New York's underground train, you may be the perfect match.

The concern for people's love life is not found only on the subway. Other trends in matchmaking include finding your soulmate look-alike by facial mapping or finding the love of your life through your moms, whosearch for a date according to mothers' parenting skills.
