NVIDIA launched its first tablet effort, the Tegra Note 7, half a year ago and the device was sold under re-branded names like EVGA.

The tablet comes with a 7-inch display with an average 1280 x 800 pixels resolution and draws power from a quad-core Tegra 4 processor fitted with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.

Other specifications include microSD card, micro HDMI port, and two cameras (5MP on the back and 0.3MP in front).

NVIDIA has rolled out the Android 4.4. KitKat update for most of the variants of the slate, but now it’s time for another one.

NVIDIA has just announced on Twitter that it is rolling out a new OTA update for the device, which adds support for Netflix HD.

So from now on, Tegra Note 7 owners can view streaming video from Netflix in 1080p for sharper and better viewing experience.

The update will arrive over-the-air, but if you’re anxious to take advantage of the new functionality, you can head to Setting > About Tablets > System updates > Download OTA.

NVIDIA will probably roll out the next-gen Tegra Note 7 soon enough, a device that will probably arrive with a bumped resolution (1920 x 1200) and NVIDIA’s new Tegra K1 processor.
