Gaming and enthusiast-grade systems are known for always having the best hardware available, at least as an option, and CyberPower definitely didn't neglect this when NVIDIA unleashed its latest graphics card upon the IT industry.

Whenever a piece of PC hardware of at least mildly high performance is made available, it stands to reason that computers would adopt it immediately.

Gaming desktops are a good example, at least those offered by custom PC builders, as there is an unspoken law that customers should have access to the most advanced parts as soon as possible.

This applies to CyberPower, whose machines, at least some of them, have been updated now that NVIDIA's top-tier graphics controller has revealed itself.

The systems in question are the Xtreme FTW series, the Gamer 3D, Black Pearl and Fan EVO.

CyberPower will no doubt be followed by pretty much every other maker of high-end, custom desktops sooner or later, such is the effect of any new addition to the top-grade hardware market, at least as far as video cards, CPUs, memory and, in some cases, storage devices go.

For those that want a reminder on what the new video controller does, it is the first DirectX 11-capable dual-GPU board released by NVIDIA.

The Santa Clara, California-based company used a pair of GF110 GPUs clocked at 607 MHz, while the 1,024 CUDA cores and 3 GB of GDDR5 VRAM work at 1,215 MHz and 3,414 MHz, respectively.

Prospective customers with enough cash can drop by CyberPower's official website and choose whatever system they wish. The minimum price is of $1,499 and, for those that want better cooling than usual, the Fang EVO Black Mamba uses liquid cooling on the aforementioned graphics card.

What remains is to see how many video cards of this sort, and computers using them, sell in comparison to AMD's Radeon HD 6990.
