NVIDIA Corporation announced today that all the latest HP notebooks available - Pavilion dv2000 series and Compaq Presario V3000 series - feature NVIDIA's new GeForce Go 6150
integrated graphics processor (IGP) and NVIDIA nForce Go 430 media communications processor (MCP).

As the thin-and-light notebooks from HP, the world's leading provider of consumer notebook PCs, have "historically had relatively low graphics performance", it is said in the press release, the company's new products needed Nvidia's latest technology in graphics processing to align to the trend - new technologies and applications such as high-definition (HD) video and Microsoft Windows Vista.

The new NVIDIA notebook solutions deliver excellent performance per watt, enhancing video playback and accelerating 3D applications within the low power and thermal budgets required for compact notebooks.

"Equipped with the energy efficient, high-performance, NVIDIA GeForce Go GPU and nForce G0 430 MCP, the new HP notebooks bring advanced graphics and video capabilities to consumers that will enable them to enjoy the new wave of 3D and video applications in style," said Manoj Gujral, General Manager of the Notebook Platform Business at NVIDIA.

The latest NVIDIA GeForce Go 7200 GPU is now being offered as the enhanced graphics option for Intel processor-based versions of the HP Pavilion dv2000 series and Compaq Presario V3000 series of notebook PCs.

The new AMD-based notebooks will be available direct from HP at retail outlets in the first half of 2006. The new HP Intel-based notebooks will be available through the same outlets later this month.

NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 IGP and nForce G0 430 MCP Benefits
(manufacturer's specs):

-Support for the newly announced AMD Turion 64 X2 mobile technology, 64-bit dual-core processors designed for thin and light notebook PCs.

-NVIDIA PowerMizer technology for reduced power consumption and less heat generation enabling cooler and smaller notebooks with increased battery life.

-Support for DirectX 9.0 Shader Model 3.0 for more realism in 3D games and applications.

-Hardware accelerated HD video support via NVIDIA PureVideo technology - the only notebook IGP solution that supports hardware accelerated H.264 HD video playback.

-High-performance 3D architecture built for Microsoft Windows Vista - the industry's first operating system to require a GPU to achieve its full potential.
