NVIDIA’s Shield tablet made quite a splash when it launched as a gaming-friendly slate aimed to take on consoles back in July.

The tablet took advantage of NVIDIA’s latest Tegra K1 processor, provided FHD resolution, and was also offered with a Shield controller to make the overall gaming experience better.

But NVIDIA also promised an LTE model, and as of today customers can place a pre-order for it, although the first items will start shipping on September 30.

The LTE Shield tablet will be offered with 32GB of storage (the original only provided 16GB) and can be yours for $399 / €308 (an extra $100 / €77 away from the Wi-Fi version).

NVIDIA is currently offering the gaming machine via AT&T for $299 / €231 if you’re willing to jump onboard with a 2-year contract with the carrier.

But the full-priced version of the tab will be unlocked, meaning that it should work with the LTE networks of a lot carriers, including T-Mobile. However, Verizon is not part of this picture for the time being.

On top of announcing availability of the LTE tablet, the company has also announced three Tegra K1 optimized games coming in the form of Beach Buggy Racing, BombSquad, and Broadsword: Age of Chivalry.
