NVIDIA has just made available two new GRID vGPU packages that include both Windows Display Driver versions 332.83 and 340.69, as well as the GRID vGPU Manager 331.59.01 and 340.34, respectively.

When it comes to changes, the 332.83/331.59.01 release includes WHQLed drivers for Microsoft’s Windows 8.1 and Server 2012 R2, fixes several miscellaneous issues, and adds support for Citrix XenServer 6.2 SP1 with hotfix XS62ESP1009.

In addition to that, this version supports nView and NVWMI on all virtual GPUs, and provides shared graphics acceleration hardware for Windows Virtual Machines (VM) running only on Citrix XenServer 6.2 SP1 or higher.

Moreover, the 332.83 vGPU package also adds compatibility with K120Q and K220Q virtual graphics processing units, and maintains support for NVIDIA’s GRID K1 and K2 units.

As for the other release, namely version 340.69/340.34, this package now supports Citrix XenServer Creedence Tech Preview R2 (6.4.95) and adds several miscellaneous fixes just like the aforementioned update.

In addition to that, this driver also supports the K1 and K2 GRID vGPUs, includes compatibility with the GRID K5100M unit, and enables graphics acceleration hardware sharing for Windows VMs running on Citrix XenServer Creedence TechPreview only.

When it comes to the compatible operating systems, the present releases can be applied on Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 OSes, as well as on the Server 2008 R2, 2012, and 2012 R2 platforms, and include support for OpenGL 4.4 and DirectX 11.1.
