NVIDIA has just launched its GeForce 326.80 beta driver. This release is said to offer the best gaming experience in Splinter Cell: Blacklist and is also a recommended driver update for the Windows 8.1 Preview.

The 326.80 beta will increase the overall in-game performance of GeForce 400/500/600/700 series GPUs by up to 19% over the 320.49 WHQL.

NVIDIA says that, for example, the GTX 770 card will have performance boosts of up to 15% in Dirt: Showdown and 6% in Tomb Raider. The GTX 770 SLI will improve Dirt: Showdown behavior by up to 19%.

Given that the Splinter Cell: Blacklist is up for pre-order, as well as Batman: Arkham Origins, this release has an added SLI profile for the two titles.

This package will also install the new PhysX System Software version 9.13.0725, HD Audio 1.3.26.4 and support for applications built using CUDA 5.5 or earlier versions of the CUDA Toolkit.

OpenGL 4.3 for GeForce 400-series and later GPUs and DisplayPort 1.2 for GeForce GTX 600 series GPU are also supported with this release.
