While some companies are cutting their losses, others are hunting for more staff members. NVIDIA has just hired a new one, namely Deepu Talla.

Deepu Talla worked for Texas Instruments, as the leader of the system-on-chip business unit.

During his tenure there, he oversaw development of OMAP SoCs, which means he has a lot of experience with ARM technology. At NVIDIA, he will succeed Phil Carmack.

Carmack is leaving to work for an NVIDIA partner company. Since he was the leader of the Tegra division for 10 years, ever since its inception, he leaves pretty big shoes to fill.

NVIDIA must be certain Talla can do it though. After all, the man has 10 years of experience of his own. He has even worked as general manager of the OMAP mobile computing business.
