So apparently, it will be $150 / €150 more expensive than AMD's new wonder child

Because Advanced Micro Devices has formally launched its Radeon R9 290X graphics card, and will soon unveil the R9 290 and a refined R9 280X, NVIDIA had to take a stand, hence the GeForce GTX 780 Ti.

So far, we've only seen leaks and reports about it, but now I've heard straight from NVIDIA when the GTX 780 Ti will be released, and what price it will sport.

The price I've already mentioned in the title: $699 / €699. That's $150 / €150 above the price of the Radeon R9 290X, which could be a bit of a turnoff.

Then again, if the GTX 780 Ti does prove better than Titan, it will be better than AMD's super board too, even if not by an extent that will justify the price difference. We'll see the outcome in sales figures after November 7, 2013.

Meanwhile, the GeForce GTX 780 is going from $630 / €630 to $499 / €499.
