Knowing that simple winter air wouldn't be enough to keep graphics card temperature under control (even if it did make it anywhere near a computer), Arctic Cooling revealed that it would soon be introducing a new cooling module for NVIDIA's series of GeForce GTX graphics adapters, dubbed the Accelero XTREME GTX Pro.

A rework of the Accelero XTREME GTX 280, this new cooler delivers more in the area of heat dissipation compared with this predecessor. While the GTX 280 was already impressive, the Pro combines the might of three distinct fans and has its five heatpipes and the copper base soldered precisely together, with a layer of the non-curing thermal compound ARCTIC MX-2 on top. Combined with the slim heatsink module of merely 92mm-PWM fans (which work between 1,000 and 2,000 rpm), the whole mechanism is capable of a cooling power of up to 250 watts.

The item measures 290 (L) x 104 (W) x 56 (H) mm, weighs 632 grams, is SlI-compatible and has a pre-applied Arctic MX-2 thermal paste. It is an excellent asset to gamers, due to its efficiency and the low level of noise it produces, thanks to its award-winning acoustic engineering. The low noise impeller and the patented fan holder reduce the noise level from rotation, resulting in an extremely quiet operation at full fan speed – only 0.5 sone at 2,000 rpm.

The installment of this product is easily accomplished and, for ease of use, it comes with various types of RAM and voltage-regulator heatsinks to fit different GTX models. The Accelero XTREME GTX Pro works with GeForce GTX 285, GTX 275 and GTX 260 graphics cards, is backed by a six-year warranty and is set to become available in December for $85 / 60 Euro.

Truly, this is the ultimate cooler for GTX graphics cards and high-end graphics enthusiasts will most likely find it ideal.
