Yet another maker of custom desktops has stepped up to announce that some of its high-end gaming machines will, henceforth, have the newly-launched dual-GPU NVIDIA graphics card available as an option.

There are already several makers of gaming systems that have officially announced support for the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 590 graphics adapter.

This video board is the first dual-GPU card from the Santa Clara, California-based company to feature DirectX 11.

Digital Storm is one of the most recent such examples, and it seems V3 Gaming has now joined the ranks of top-tier Fermi board providers.

“The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 590 is truly a marvel of engineering and design. NVIDIA has managed to shoehorn two extremely powerful GPUs into a single high-performance graphics card that runs relatively cool and quiet.” said Steven Chien, CEO of V3 Gaming PC.

The specific machines that will, from now on, be configurable with the card are the Convoy and Avenger.

Thanks to the new option, they will easily fit into the top tier of consumer systems, although they will, understandably, have very high prices as well. After all, the adapter alone costs $699.

For that price, users will get a pair of GF110 GPUs (graphics processing units), leading to 1,024 CUDA cores.

Said GPUs are complemented by 3 GB of GDDR5 VRAM and a cooler that allows it to run in better silence, or at least less noise, than the AMD Radeon HD 6990.

What's more, for truly ambitious gamers, the 3D Vision Surround technology will allow for three 3D panels to be used at once.

As for actual performance numbers, the two GPUs are clocked at 607 MHz, while the memory operates at 1,707 MHz.

What remains is to see how well the two systems sell when pitted against rivals from the aforementioned Digital Storm and CyberPower, among others.
