Since NVIDIA's GTX 580 has finally become official, after a long wait, it should come to no surprise that the first factory overclocked models are already starting to show up, one of the first we've come across pertaining to EVGA.

So, while EVGA has, quite obviously, released a stock version of the latest Fermi GPU as well, it has decided to go the extra mile and launched a tweaked model, namely the EVGA SuperClocked 015-P3-1582-AR GeForce GTX 580, which has been already listed as available in the US (on exactly the same website as the rest of the previous pre-launch leaks).

So, in the case of this enhanced device, the Core Clock speed has been upped to 797MHz (from 772MHz in the stock version), while the shader clock has also recorded e bump-up, from 1544MHz to 1594MHz.

Additionally, while the amount of available memory remains the same (1.5GB GDDR5), the effective memory clock is also slightly higher, going from 4008Mhz up to 4050Mhz.

Apart from these enhanced processing capabilities, the card is no different from a stock version (same physical dimensions and connectivity options, namely dual DVI and a 1.4-a HDMI port), and, unfortunately, the online listing doesn't mention anything about a possible custom cooling solution from EVGA, which leads us to believe that NVIDIA's new cooling solution offers enough OC headroom to support the aforementioned tweaks without requiring extra cooling (we'll have to wait for the official release on this one, though).

Furthermore, the SuperClocked EVGA card will also support the EVGA OC Scanner technology, as well as NVIDIA's 3D Vision Surround, PhysX, CUDA and PureVideo HD technologies.

Pricing for the EVGA SuperClocked 015-P3-1582-AR GeForce GTX 580 has been set at roughly 580 US dollars, which makes it just 20 dollars more expensive than the stock version, available from the same online retailer.
