It really seems that NVIDIA's 3D Vision solution is becoming more and more popular with gamers from all around the world, and things will go even further in the near future, especially once 3D monitors with built-in 3D IR emitters, such as Acer's brand-new GN245HQ model, become more and more widespread.

As far as we're concerned, the main selling point the 3D monitor from Acer has in store is the fact that it takes care of one of the major set-backs of the NVIDIA 3D Vision system, namely the presence of an external, USB connected IR emitter, by incorporating the respective component, required for synching with the 3D active shutter glasses.

However, that's not the only interesting feature this thing has in store, since the Acer GN245HQ monitor also sports a wide, 24-inch panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, LED backlight and a 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD) native resolution, which are pretty much standard requirements in the case of any display solution designed to comply with the strict NVIDIA 3D Vision-ready qualification requirements.

Additionally, the display solution from Acer also delivers a 2ms response time, a 100,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, as well as dual-DVI and HDMI 1.4a inputs, which means that users will also be able to connect other 3D content sources to the display (such as 3D Blu-ray players).

Beside providing native 3D support, the monitor also sports quite an attractive design, with a piano black finish, sharp corners and X-shaped stand.

As TC Magazine reports, Acer's brand-new GN245HQ 3D Monitor is set to arrive in stores across Europe at some point in February, the estimated price point being set at around 430 Euro, which makes slightly more expensive than most other displays out there, but we must not forget that, after all, we're dealing with a 24-inch, 3D – capable device here.
