Looks like NVIDIA is hiring some new intellectual muscle, so to speak, one Rob Burgess, whom people may remember from when he led Macromedia Inc.

Macromedia had been a provider of Internet and multimedia software before it was acquired by Adobe in 2005.

Rob Burgess, now 53 years old, served as CEO (chief executive officer) from 1996 to 2005 and also as the chairman or executive chairman between 1998 and 2005.

The man served on Adobe's board since then and even got the position of IMRIS Inc. director in 2010

IMRIS is a company that provides image-guided therapy solutions, for those who were wondering.

Now, he has become the ninth board member of the Santa Clara, California-based company. He brings along a bachelor's of commerce degree from McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada.
