The United States video game market has failed to halt its decline during November of this year, posting a decrease in overall revenue of 11 percent in order to reach 2.55 billion dollars (1.967 billion Euro).

The decline in November was the smallest for 2012, but the industry continues to face an unfavorable overall comparison to 2011. November is traditionally one of the most important sales period for companies like Activision, Electronic Arts or Ubisoft, which means that December will likely also witness a loss in revenue.

The launch of the Wii U from Nintendo has failed to revive the hardware market, which has seen a decrease of 13%.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and Halo 4 battled for the top position in the video game chart but they did not sell enough to improve the performance of the industry when compared to November 2011.
