NCAA Football 14 might be the last college football sim to use the names of all organizations and teams associated with the sport, but it still managed to take the number one position in the United States retail chart for July.

The game has apparently sold less than it did during its debut month in 2012, which is in line with the overall performance of the gaming industry.

The overall decline is set at 19 percent when compared to July of last year.

The rest of the top ten includes:

Minecraft The Last of Us Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Animal Crossing: New Leaf Far Cry 3 Battlefield 3 Injustice: Gods Among Us NBA 2K13 Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes

Analyst Liam Callahan is quoted by NeoGAF as saying, “It is unusual to see a software SKU that launched close to three years ago appear in the top 10, but clearly this is an indication that gamers who missed Grand Theft Auto 4 are catching up before Grand Theft Auto Launches 5 launches in September.”
