Soon after launching the first screenshot taken from NHL 14, the development team at EA Sports now has a full-length trailer for the hockey simulation and a launch date of September 10 for all territories.

The game is expected to arrive on the PlayStation 3 from Sony, the Xbox 360 from Microsoft and the PC, with spin-offs for other devices.

The trailer is oddly concerned with fighting in hockey, but there are some glimpses of actual gameplay that suggest a more realistic experience and better physics.

The music that’s playing in the NHL 14 video is The Boys Are Back from Dropkick Murphys.

EA Sports will probably soon offer more details about the game experience it is creating.

NHL has been traditionally a smaller series than FIFA or Madden, but the hockey sim still has a passionate fan base.
