14 DAY TRIAL // Video game publisher Electronic Arts and The National Hockey League have announced that all fans of the sport can now vote for their favorite athlete in order to give him the coveted spot on the cover of the upcoming NHL 14.
The field of possible candidates currently includes 60 sportsmen and two preliminary rounds will be used to reduce it to 16 before a final decisive vote starts on the official website.
Dean Richards, the general manager of NHL at EA Sports, states, “Players who have graced the EA SPORTS NHL cover in the past have historically had banner years in the season that followed.”
He adds, “We’re looking forward to see which fans step up to get their player on the cover of NHL 14.”
Fans that use Twitter can deploy hashtags during Thursdays in order to double the power of their vote.
