As E3 will start today, spirits are high in the gaming industry with the first companies to hold their keynotes being Microsoft, Electronic Arts and Ubisoft. In order to further fuel the hype around its
Need for Speed Shift racing game, EA has just revealed big details about the title, including what cars and tracks would be featured in the game created by Slightly Mad Studios.
Besides the huge number of cars and real life circuits, players will also get a chance to experiment the BMW M3 GT2, which will grace the cover of the game. Like other
cars that have been prominently featured, its attributes are quite awe-inspiring, being one of the fastest and most powerful cars ever to be included in a NFS game.
With cult cars from 35 years of racing, ranging from the 1972 Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R to the popular tuner Mazda RX-7 or one of the most exclusive hyper cars, the Lamborghini Reventon, people will definitely be interested in the title. Also, with tracks ranging from Silverstone or Spa Francorchamps to cities like London or Tokyo,
the thrills of the races will be guaranteed.
“Need for Speed Shift is about the intense power and emotion of being behind the wheel and this carefully selected list of cars and tracks was chosen to give players the ultimate driving moment,” said Patrick Soderlund, Senior Vice President at EA Games Europe. “Shift is the evolution of racing genre. We’re delivering the first truly immersive driving game by combining perfectly modelled cars and tracks with the dramatic realism of the true driver’s experience.”
