Today, NETGEAR has announced the availability of a new firmware developed for its Push2TV wireless display adapter (PTV3000), namely version 2.4.46, which brings several changes that improve the unit’s overall performance and stability.

Specifically speaking, the new update disables the MPEG2 codec from the previous 2.4.26 version, improves the screen saver's refresh rate and modifies its icon to the NETGEAR logo, and adds a new manufacture rework mode.

In addition to that, the Samsung S3 AT&T connection drop problems are resolved, the issue with Miracast that disconnected when notebook screen turned off (only in Windows 8.1) is fixed, and the version number is now present on both AP connection and Ready for connection screens.

Moreover, missing translations have been added and display issues with some of the existing ones have been resolved, a new WIDI proprietary Miracast parameter is now implemented, and various AP-related problems are fixed.

As for applying this release, simply download the “PTV3000_V2.4.46.sbin” file on your computer and press and hold the Push2TV side button for about 7 seconds to enter firmware update mode.

Now, search for the PTV3000 SSID using the wireless manager installed on your computer, connect the two devices, log into the adapter’s administration page, and, from there, follow the steps that will guide you to a complete installation.

That being said, download NETGEAR PTV3000 WiDi Adapter Firmware 2.4.46, take into account all above-mentioned aspects, apply the latest software on your device, and stay “updated one minute ago.”
