NETGEAR has outed a new firmware package compatible with PR2000 routers, namely version 1.0.0.13, which fixes a specific beacom power issue and resolves a wireless output power problem (HT40 Tx only).

In addition to that, the new release also fixes the GUI display error when initiating software reboot, resolves the genie app link speed display problem, and updates the GUI banner with a new image.

If you intend to make use of these improvements, then save and extract the downloadable archive, and write down all configuration settings that have been changed from the default values. These will need to be re-entered after the new firmware has been applied.

Now log into the router’s administration page (user and password might be required), go to Maintenance > Router Upgrade, browse and select the newly extracted “PR2000-V1.0.0.13_1.0.1.img” file, and click the “Upload” button.

At this point, the new software will be transferred to the router, and upon completion, the PR2000 will automatically initiate the upgrade process, therefore, make sure that you don’t interrupt it.

As for another recommendation, since wireless technology tends to disconnect randomly, it would be best to perform the installation process by connecting the router to the computer using an Ethernet cable.

That being said, download NETGEAR PR2000 Router Firmware 1.0.0.13, take into account all aforementioned aspects, and upgrade your router firmware to the latest version.
