NETGEAR has just made available a new firmware version compatible with the GS748Tv4 switch, namely build 5.4.2.13, which adds support for the IEEE 802.3az standard, as well as for IPv4 static route and IPv6 ACL and QoS features.

In addition to that, this fresh update also resolves issues with the CPU Notification Mode and LLDP option that didn’t work or displayed inappropriate values, and removes the bug that caused random and unexpected reboots.

Moreover, firmware 5.4.2.13 fixes the duplicate SNMP V3 enginID problem, resolves the issue where RADIUS Assigned VLAN would change only if the link goes up or down, as well as the switch’s improper behavior to forward all traffic between VLANs (during reboot).

As for upgrading to this version, simply get and extract the downloadable archive, run the Smartwizard Discovery utility from the CD provided along with your Smart Switch, and click the “Discover” button in order to find your device.

When completely recognized, select GS748Tv4 unit, click the “Firmware Upgrade” button, navigate and select the newly-extracted “GS748Tv4_V5.4.2.13.stk” file, and follow the instructions displayed on-screen for a complete and successful installation.

Therefore, if you intend to upgrade your device to this version, download NETGEAR GS748Tv4 Switch Firmware 5.4.2.13, and follow the above-mentioned steps. Also, don’t forget to check back with us to be up to speed with the latest releases.
