NEC Display Solutions announced the availability of five new LCD monitors in the AccuSync 3 display family. The new monitors will replace the older AccuSync 2 series. The refreshed monitors range from 17 to 19 inches
, and support a native resolution of 1280 x 1024.

Three LCD displays will spot a resolution of 17-inch and will deliver 700:1 contrast ratios, brightness of 300 cd/m and 5ms response times. The ASLCD73VX and ASLCD73VX-BK models are almost identical and will feature the same price tag.

The only difference between them is the unit's color. While the ASLCD73VX comes in a white plastic frame, the ASLCD73VX-BK model is all-black. Both LCD monitors will sell for an estimative price of $224.99. The ASLCD73VXM-BK version is also a 17-incher, but it will sport a higher price tag ($239.99), since it has built-in multimedia speakers.

The two 19-inch monitors in the series will come with the same 300 cd/m brightness and 5ms response times, just like the smaller models, but will feature improved contrast ratios of 800:1. Both models share the same technical specifications, except for the fact that the ASLCD93VXM-BK also comes with built-in multimedia speakers. The regular version sells for $254.99, while the speaker-equipped variant will feature a $274.99 price tag.

"The AccuSync 3-Series offers key benefits, like exceptional screen performance and multimedia options, all at competitive prices," said Andrew Anderson, Product Manager for NEC Display Solutions. "Additionally, we've added the Eco Mode feature, which allows end users the ability to extend the life of the monitor and to conserve energy. This line continues to deliver the quality of the NEC brand with superior service and support."

The AccuSync 3 series LCD displays come with a redesigned cabinet, Windows Vista compatibility and the Eco Mode, an energy-conserving function accessible through the on-screen controls, which helps extend the life of the display.
