The newly arrived on the mobile phone market ESTEEMO joint-venture is the child of the agreement between the NEC Corporation and Panasonic Mobile Communications,
which have decided to develop together mobile handsets and to use on them a common software and hardware platform.

The new company named ESTEEMO Co., Ltd, will begin its operations on November 6th 2006 and will have a capital of 100 million yen, having its headquarters in Tsuzuki ku, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan with a branch office in Nakahara ku, Kawasaki city, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan.

This is not the first time the two companies meet with the requirements of the mobile market because they have been known to collaborate on the 3G Linux-based mobiles of the NTT DoCoMo Inc. company since 2001.

The info also say that the new phone manufacturer will employ a number of 130 people and its management will probably be represented by a president, a vice president and 2 board members.

The ESTEEMO name of the joint-venture comes from the desire of the two associate owner companies to show that they have mutual esteem for each other and also for the mobile business they will get in very soon.
