NEC is trying to make it in the business market, but this is an average device

Japanese device manufacturer has rolled out a new Android tablet, called the LifeTouch L aimed at business users.

Customers will be able to grab one, starting February for a chunky $578 / €429 a pop.

The LifeTouch L has a 10.1-inch screen with a 1280 x 800 pixels and 10-point capacitive multi-touch display. Power is drawn from a 1.5GHz OMAP 4460 HS dual-core processor combined with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD).

Moving on, business users will be able to take advantage of dual cameras (5MP on the back and 1.2MP in front), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, microHDMI output port and stereo speakers.

For such a price I had expected a better configuration and on top of everything the slate runs the outdated Android 4.1 OS. The only plus seems to be the beefy 8200 mAh battery which will keep the LifeTouch alive for a sensible amount of time.
