NEC announced the launch of its latest mobile computing device, a notebook called VERSA P9110, which is coming with a 17 inch screen and lots of computing power that makes it the ideal candidate for all your multimedia needs as well as graphics intensive applications. Thanks to its state of the art hardware platform, the NEC VERSA P9110 is able to keep the pace with the latest high graphics intensive games and with the high definition video formats.

The first thing that makes the new NEC notebook noteworthy is the high space 17 inch widescreen display that offers a 47 percent more desktop real estate than a 14 inch laptop screen, making the VERSA P9110 the perfect tool for computer users that need a lot of space for multiple
applications. Thanks to its innovative technologies that make it possible for users to perfectly view the screen even under wide angles and because the manufacturing company implemented the Super Shine View, SSV for short, technology into all VERSA LCD displays alongside the integrated 1080p video support, the newest NEC notebook is perfectly suited for sophisticated home entertainment. In order to provide even more value to its users, the VERSA P9110 notebook also comes with a HDMI AV connection port and SPDIF digital audio ports that allow direct connectivity with HD TV and AV system, according to the news site hardwarezone.

The high quality widescreen display is backed up by the presence of a discrete graphics solution based on the Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT graphics processing unit which comes with dedicated video memory for the best possible performance in video intensive applications. Thanks to the smart Nvidia Turbo cache technology and high amount of random access memory, the video memory can be increased to reach an impressive 1.79GB.

On the computing power department, the NEC VERSA P9110 is based on the Intel mobile computing platform and so it integrates an Intel central processing unit from the latest Core 2 Duo family of CPUs as well as an Intel mainboard chipset and a wireless network card. As the notebook also comes with a built in Web camera capable of capturing video streams and still images at a maximum resolution of 1.3 megapixels, the latest NEC laptop is factory ready for video relay, VoIP teleconferencing and messenger programs.

"Due to high penetration of wireless home networks, home users tend to aim for indoor mobility computing solutions. P9110 allows media files to be displayed on the 17-inch large screen comparable to desktop monitors and provides the impact of cinematic movies and gaming excitement.", says Makoto Iwasaki, Executive Director of NEC Computers Asia. "Business executives will appreciate the larger spreadsheet and, of course, they will also get to enjoy their favorite movies through the big widescreen when traveling.''

The NEC VERSA P9110 series of notebooks will be available starting by the end of the current month at NEC retail dealers.
