We could have really used a "save anywhere" feature...

We've just received word of the small Super Paper Mario bug that can be avoided and will be soon solved by Nintendo and it seems that the Xbox 360 has also been troubled by an ugly NCAA Football 08 glitch. Exactly when you're at the peak of a great gaming experience and getting ready for a touchdown you'll see a "This disk is unreadable" error popping out of nowhere.

This glitch wouldn't be so frustrating if the title allowed you to save anytime you like, just loading the game, after the glitch happens. It surprises me to see that it's the first time we've heard complaints about the error, since this title was launched in July. I guess that gamers tried to get new copies of the game at their local stores, exchanging the buggy ones. Also, the NCAA fans had tried using different Xbox 360 consoles plus brand new games, but the glitch kept coming up.

The gamers were told to clean their disks with soft cloths or to restart the consoles, while EA Tiburon kept silent about this issue till now. I guess that cleaning a shiny new disk won't solve an error of this sort... It pains me to see that no one is trying to fix this bug and the producers should really care more about their customers. Of course, they could blame the Xbox 360 console and its neverending issues, but a patch, fix or new version of the game would surely be well-received.

Will we see NCAA Football 08 being recalled and new units being made available in game shops? Hopefully, as we're tired of reaching the touchdown zone and getting the frustrating error over and over again. Xbox 360 glitch? Checked! (BioShock and NCAA Football 08). Wii bug? Checked! (Super Paper Mario). PS3? Soon to come (although Lair is a bug rather than a game).
