Developer EA Sports announces that the Ultimate Team mode that’s being added to its American football simulation NCAA 14 will include 1,400 players on launch, with more content ready to be added via downloadable content packs.

VG247 cites the team as saying that current and former college athletes are included in the new Ultimate Team mode.

Gamers will be able to play solo missions against the Artificial Intelligence and they can also engage in Head-to-Head Seasons that will challenge a group to play together for ten online seasons.

Those who perform well can go on to win a championship.

Gamers will also be able to collect their best players, set up tactics and starting lineups and will try to gain access to rare and unique cards.

NCAA 14 will be available on the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 on July 9.
