Even before she was acquitted of the murder of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee, there was a lot of talk about how much money Casey Anthony would stand to make from her first interview. NBC is said to be helping her score as much as possible.

Earlier this year, word got out that NBC and two other major networks were willing to pay big bucks to Anthony for her first post-jail exclusive.

It is believed all deals went sour when viewers at home voiced their outrage online, saying they would boycott whatever network would dare to sit down with her and make money off Caylee's death.

NBC has found a way around that, TMZ reports. This way, they still get their exclusive interview, while Anthony stands to make a fortune.

A producer from the network is pull all the weight he has in the literary world to land Anthony a book deal. To promote said book, she'd have to talk to NBC.

“The honchos at NBC – the C stands for crafty – think they figured out a way to snag an interview with Casey Anthony without paying a red cent, and make her a wealthy woman at the same time,” TMZ reports.

“We've learned an NBC news producer has reached out to people in the literary world, trying to score a book deal for Anthony. The producer has contacted literary agents and others, telling them if he scored a book deal for Casey, she'd give the network a 1-hour, primetime special... portions of which would also run on 'Today',” the e-zine further says.

This way, NBC wouldn't pay for the interview but still get it. At the same time, Anthony would make a lot of money – and none of it would come from the network.

“[The producer] is gung-ho about the book deal, even representing that Casey wants up front money,” TMZ writes.

The celebrity gossip website / paparazzi agency managed to get in touch with Anthony's attorney, Jose Baez, who confirms that a producer is working on landing a book deal for her infamous client.

“I'm not involved in that process. I did not entice him to do it. Casey is not ready to do an interview,” he adds.

Less than a week ago, Baez was spotted having dinner with Barbara Walters. Word has it she's very interested in an interview with Anthony and has been talking to the attorney about it.
