14 DAY TRIAL // Jimmy Kimmel’s relatively new segment Celebrity Read Mean Tweets has proved such a hit that he’s already diversifying it. On his latest show, he introduced the NBA special edition and, as per usual, you can see it in full and in HD above.
The idea behind this new segment is that, while Twitter (and social media in general) allows celebrities to maintain a closer, more intimate and open relationship with their fans, it also exposes them to some of the nastiest, most foul-mouthed comments possible.
This also applies to NBA players, the video above will confirm.
Criticism for them ranges from remarks about their performance on the field to nasty tweets about their appearance, just like in the case of movie and music stars.
Word online has it that some of the tweets featured on this segment aren’t actually real, but thinking of that while watching this new video will probably take something from the experience.
