Developer EA Sports has released the first trailer for its upcoming basketball simulation NBA Live 13 and has also announced that the game has been delayed.

The company planned to launch NBA Live 13 in October this year. The announcement has not revealed when fans should expect it to be available.

EA Sports failed to offer any more details on how the game would play, but the trailer reveals precious little information about the gameplay.

The NBA series was suspended by EA Sports during 2010, with the new Elite title canceled because it failed to offer the quality the company was expecting.

Listings on the Xbox Live Arcade suggest that NBA Live 13 will only be offered via digital distribution services.

The basketball simulation market is dominated by the NBA 2K series from Visual Concepts and 2K Games, which will launch its next installment on October 2 on the Xbox 360, the PlayStation 3 and the PC, with a Wii U version also planned.
