A new video has popped up on the Internet, offering a glimpse of the upcoming NBA 2K15's MyCareer mode, delivering some never-before-seen information regarding one of the most popular modes of the basketball video game.

The video comes from YouTube gaming personality Chris Smoove, showing that the MyCareer mode is not only present, but will take off in a much more exciting and challenging manner.

The footage shows a cutscene laden with tension, depicting you sitting at home waiting for the 60th draft pick and finding out that you were not selected. Being undrafted means that you have to keep working hard and wait for the inevitable injuries or busts to occur, allowing you a chance to shine.

The new twist means that instead of a rookie showcase, you'll start as a free agent, getting your shot at fame and greatness later on in the year, with your season starting in January instead of October, and that you'll have to work hard and fight for limited-time contracts and explore the various opportunities on the open market as soon as they become available.

It's a take that will surely prove popular with the crowds, as a ton of top talent follows this route, and it's always refreshing to see things from the perspective of the underdog.

NBA 2K15 is coming out on PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 on October 7, 2014.
