The development team at Visual Concepts says that both the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 version of NBA 2K14 will run at 60 frames per second and at a native 1080p resolution, with no differences between the Sony and the Microsoft devices.

IGN has received confirmation of the fact from Jeff Thomas, an executive vice president at the studio.

The new basketball simulation is already offered on current-gen consoles and allows players to experience a whole new dribbling system that expands the use of the right stick.

The story mode is based on the exploits of LeBron James and the game also offers improvements to teamwork and online play.

NBA 2K14 will be offered on the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One as soon as the new platforms are launched in November.
