The development team working on NBA 2K14 is delivering a new trailer for the basketball simulation, designed to stoke up players’ interest ahead of the October 1 launch date.

The video is low on new content but features cover star LeBron James performing some of his most powerful moves, while Nas and P. Diddy are featured with their track “You Can Hate Me Now.”

The new game in the long running series is designed to open up more tactical options for players while also introducing a number of improvements to the career mode.

LeBron James is heavily featured in the promotional efforts for the game and has also chosen the soundtrack for the full experience.

NBA 2K14 will be out on October 1 on the PlayStation 3 from Sony and the Xbox 360 from Microsoft.

It will face competition from NBA Live from EA Sports.
