Rovio, the mobile game publisher behind the highly popular Angry Birds, is gearing up for the release of a new version of the title, called Angry Birds Space.

The game will be launched on March 22nd on Samsung’s Android-based Galaxy Note smartphone, and is being developed in collaboration with NASA.

Whether NASA’s engineers and astronauts have anything to do with the designing of the game, it remains to be seen. One thing that is certain, however, is the fact that the Agency will be involved in the marketing of Angry Birds Space.

Thus, one of their scientists, currently on the International Space Station, took his time to shoot a video in which he explains the basics physics that are being used in the game.

It all has to do with trajectories and how they are influenced by gravity, it seems. Have a look at the video embedded above to learn more on the matter.
