Nokia comes back into play with a new game release for mobiles called "Dirk Spanner and the Fallen Idol". Developed by the Jadestone, the maker of other mobile games, like Sea o'Fortune or Kudos, the Dirk Spanner and the Fallen Idol, will be available through N-Gage.

For those who don't know, N-Gage is a game service for mobiles only available in compatible Nokia Nseries and other S60 3rd Edition devices exclusively from Nokia. The service makes the job of a mobile gamer easier, meaning it will find, try and, then, advice you to buy only the high-quality mobile games.

And now, something about the game. The action takes place in the fictional town of New Haven. The main hero of the game is Dirk, which obviously is a detective. Your job is to solve the mystery behind a stolen statue and a murder. This adventure will bring you across femmes fatales and gangsters and all by guiding Dirk using the unique one-button and camera-based controls.

The graphics of the game are not bad at all. You'll recognize the comic book pretty fast, and the cartoonish style look that it features. Even so, the funny stories in which you get involved, during the game-play, will captivate you. You'll be able to experience romance and deception with plenty of movie stars, rip-offs and double-crosses.

Dr. Mark Ollila, Director of Technology and Strategy and Head of Games Publishing, at Nokia, says that: "Dirk Spanner and the Fallen Idol will re-introduce the long forgotten detective game genre for mobile devices. With the combination of stunning visuals and enthralling storyline, players cannot help but be spellbound by this game." Well, we must give her credit for that.

If, by any chance, the game has raised your interest, then you might have to wait a bit more for it, as the game is due to be launched in the first half of 2008.
