Bounce Boing Voyage is the first title

It seems that the first motion control supported games are making their way to N-Gage, and that the very first one to feature the functionality will be Bounce Boing Voyage, a “jumpaliciously fun” 3D classic title. For the time being, the game does not feature motion control, yet an updated version of the title is expected to become available this spring.

What the motion control support is all about is the fact that it allows users who play Bounce Boing Voyage to guide the ball through different worlds while using the built-in motion sensor featured by the N-Gage-compatible device they own. By playing Bounce Boing Voyage on such a handset, users will be able to guide the Bounce ball by simply moving the phone in the direction they want to. At the same time, turning the device upwards will make the ball jump on its quest to free the land of Poingpingy.

There are several Nokia handsets that currently include support for motion control, and among them we can count the Nokia N79, Nokia N82, Nokia N85, Nokia N95, Nokia N95 8GB, Nokia N96 and the Nokia 6210 Navigator. At the same time, it seems that most of the devices to be launched by the Finnish mobile phone maker this year are expected to include said feature.

Bounce Boing Voyage also allows users who do not own a motion control compatible handset to play the game with a keypad, provided that their phones are N-Gage compatible. In addition, those who already own Bounce Boing Voyage should expect to be able to receive a free upgrade of the motion control supported version as soon as it becomes available for download. Hopefully, in the near future Nokia will widen the list of N-Gage-compatible devices that also feature the motion control support.
