Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia and Vir2L Studios, a ZeniMax Media company, announced on Wednesday that a new mobile game was available for the Nokia handsets that supported the N-Gage platform, namely AMF Bowling: Pinbusters!. At the same time, the company also said that the title would soon become available via its Ovi Store.

The AMF Bowling: Pinbusters! is a game that offers those who own an N-Gage-enabled Nokia mobile phone the chance to experience “the thrill of the lanes in the palm of their hand.” The game allows them to choose from a number of 12 unique characters, all of which coming with a different signature style and moves, while also delivering them the opportunity to bowl in fantastic 3D venues.

In addition, the game also plunges users into a World Cup competition, offering them the chance to become virtual bowling champions. The AMF Bowling: Pinbusters! features three different modes, Quick Play, Precision, and Duckpins, and also offers the experience of multiplayer gaming via the N-Gage Arena.

“We are excited to release AMF Bowling: Pinbusters! on N-Gage,” said Douglas Frederick, president of Vir2L Studios. “We're sure that bowling fans of all ages will enjoy a robust and fun filled gaming experience.”

There is a leader board on which users will be able to post their scores, while also having the option to track their personal bests on their devices. Those who would like to enjoy the AMF Bowling: Pinbusters! should go to the N-Gage site to download it.

“Vir2L brings a wealth of experience to developing games for N-Gage and we think that AMF Bowling: Pinbusters! will be fantastic,” said Gregg Sauter, director, Publishing and Partner Management, Nokia. “In particular, we're excited to see some great multiplayer features that take advantage of the N-Gage Arena.”
