Developer City State Entertainment, led by Mythic founder Mark Jacobs, announces that he is working on a new MMO called Camelot Unchained, which will be developed using resources obtained during a Kickstarter campaign launched in March.

The new game will focus on Realm versus Realm battles, housing options and a player owned and developed economic system.

The core conflict will involve Arthurian, Tuatha Dé Danann and Viking faction, based on a re-imagined Camelot and European legends.

Mark Jacobs, the leader of City State Entertainment, states, “We believe there's a small yet viable audience of fans who are very keen to play this type of MMORPG. However, tightly focused niche games don't necessarily hold great appeal for traditional publishers who are looking toward the mass market. We see Kickstarter as the best way to reach out directly to the people who will actually play our game for help in funding its creation.”
