After the heavy hitters from Canonical, it's time for Mythbuntu 11.10 to be officially released.

Unlike its bigger brothers, Mythbuntu 11.10 is not feature heavy, according to Canonical. It brings in new HW support from the updated kernel and graphics stack, as it's leading up in preparation for the new Mythbuntu release strategy, which means only LTS releases for this distribution.

In terms of new features, Mythbuntu 11.10 is another *buntu distribution to switch to the new LightDM login manager. Chromium has been adapted by the Mythbuntu team to replace Firefox as the default browser.

Ubuntu Software Center is the default package manager instead of Synaptic, but the latter can still be installed from the repositories. As for the updates, MythTV has been updated to more recent builds.
