Most dog lovers know that the bond established between a pooch and its owner is both a strong and a special one.

Therefore, it should not come as such a big surprise that author Dennis Lehane is willing to do just about anything to make sure he is reunited with his lost beagle, Tessa.

The dog got lost in Brookline, Massachussets and “Mystic River's” author is now asking that the general public lend him a helping hand in finding it. “Tessa, black-and-tan Beagle, 24 hours on the lam, sweet as hell,” reads Dennis Lehane's description of his pooch.

Dennis Lehane also promises that whoever brings Tessa back to him will be given the opportunity to lend his/her name to one of the characters in his upcoming book, sources report.

Hopefully, Tessa will soon be reunited with its owner.
