No one really knows why Lana Del Rey has chosen to cancel all her promotional activities in Europe, but the fact that she has pulled out of a couple of big events at literally the last minute is causing some tensions in the industry.

The sultry and mysterious Lana, who was scheduled to make a couple of appearances throughout Europe to promote her new album “West Coast,” has issued a statement saying that she is ill and can't continue touring.

Having already canceled two appearances in Paris two days ago, according to MTV, the singer has now also pulled out of a Radio 1 scheduled performance due to ill health. “For medical reasons independent of our will, the artist has been forced to cancel all promotional activities planned in Europe over the coming days,” the statement reads.

While Radio 1 is now hoping to reschedule her performance for later in the year, Virgin Radio have gone further and are now staging a boycott after the singer canceled her scheduled appearance. Their statement claims that they “disapprove of this total lack of respect for the fans and is removing Lana Del Rey from its playlists.”

Lana has been oddly quiet on social media for the past weeks, which might be a telling sign that something really is afoot, but no one can tell what this mystery illness of hers actually is.
